ABOUT
Jaimee Kosanke is a television executive and content producer with 20 years of diverse experience including live, documentary, reality, multi-cam, game-show, and branded content. Jaimee’s sports portfolio includes over 400 hours of live combat sports television including Bellator on CBS, Showtime Sports, Diaz vs Masvidal PPV, Premier Boxing Champions, and Glory Kickboxing, along with several long-form sports specials. Sports complemented Jaimee’s competitive spirit, so much so that she trained in Muay Thai and competed in a smoker at 37.
Jaimee served as an Executive Producer alongside Network Entertainment on the documentary series I Am (10 episodes), including the highly rated I Am Chris Farley, which was included as an “answer” on an episode of Jeopardy. Her way with talent touched Jennifer Lee Pryor when at the SXSW premiere of I Am Richard Pryor Jaimee said to Jennifer “Thank you for bringing him with you.”
Jaimee began her career at Viacom in 2001 at MTV where she worked on Beach House series, Spring Break specials, compilation shows and an ambush game show titled I Bet You Will. She enjoyed writing and pitching bet taglines and as a young PA the Producers OK’d several. Her first post-produced show was Bumped, Bruised and Bizarre, a compilation of the craziest moments of MTV Sports. She cut a segment so tense that legal pulled it due to fear of sharing it with the younger generation. It happened that Elijah Wood was in the edit that day. He said he loved the segment.
She moved to Spike TV during its inaugural year, nearly 18 years ago, where she co-created a magazine series covering video games and technology, titled, by Jaimee, Game Head. Just under a million viewers tuned in for her highest-rated episode “Sex and Video Games.” Game Head ran 100 episodes before being acquired by an internal company. Having proved a key voice in the new media industry, she continued to lead production for technology and pop culture coverage at Spike TV working with partners like Microsoft, SCEA to Activision and producing multi-day, 360 coverage of conferences like San Diego Comic-Con, E3 and CES. She created competitive reality shows that asked contestants to shave their heads like the character Kratos, run the Uncharted game-inspired obstacle courses in a multi-player format, and run a Gears of War inspired scavenger hunt. She produced content for 4 launches of Madden NFL including a Times Square takeover and a long-form documentary that aired on the NFL Network.
A forever learner Jaimee received her PMP Certificate from the Project Management Institute and has taken NYU SPS Screenwriting resulting in 2 feature-length scripts. She is a passionate humorist and essayist and has been published in Newsday, HuffPost Personal, The Village Sun, The Breadcrumbs Project, and Drunk Monkeys.
Jaimee is a long-time member of both the Television Academy and the Producers Guild of America and has served as Co-Chair of the PGA Employment Committee since 2020. She wishes to combine her writing, entertainment experience, and live-tv decision-making instinct in another production close to her heart.
